Every year on April 22nd, the world comes together to mark Earth Day - a day dedicated to honoring and protecting our planet. This year, Molecor is not only celebrating environmental commitment but also highlighting the significant emissions reductions achieved through our ongoing sustainability initiatives.

This year’s slogan perfectly encapsulates Molecor’s dedication to environmental responsibility. It reflects the impact of our actions in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and underscores our firm commitment to climate protection. By continuously tracking and analyzing emissions data, we demonstrate measurable progress toward our sustainability goals.
As part of our roadmap to reach Net Zero by 2040, Molecor’s Master Plan focuses on strategic priorities such as decarbonization and biodiversity enhancement. A key milestone in this journey is the first anniversary of the Molecor Forest. Through the planting of 600 trees - including mangrove, cedar, mahogany, moringa, and sesbania—in Madagascar, Tanzania, and Thailand, we’re not just greening the planet but also avoiding up to 227 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
The Molecor Forest stands as one of our most impactful and environmentally friendly initiatives. It contributes to greenhouse gas absorption, air purification, soil restoration, and biodiversity regeneration, while also supporting local communities and their economies.
Progress on Decarbonization
Molecor continues to advance its decarbonization efforts, especially through increased use of renewable energy in production processes. In 2024 alone, we avoided 4,513.7 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions—23.4% of our total emissions for the year. This represents an 18.2% improvement compared to 2022, our baseline year for emissions tracking.
Looking ahead, we are prioritizing the expansion and refinement of our Organizational Carbon Footprint assessment. One of the most ambitious aspects of our strategy is the calculation of Scope 3 emissions—those indirect emissions throughout our value chain not covered in Scope 1 or 2. This includes emissions linked to our supply chain, purchasing practices, and employee commuting. By addressing these areas, we aim to fully understand and mitigate our broader environmental impact.
