On May 17th, Molecor proudly joins the global celebration of World Recycling Day, a key moment to reflect on the importance of responsible resource management and the role recycling plays in building a sustainable future. At the heart of our approach are the principles of the circular economy and the "zero waste" philosophy, which guide every stage of our operations. From the earliest design phases, our products are conceived with sustainability in mind, engineered to optimize material use, reduce environmental impact, and ensure durability and recyclability.
Committed to Circularity and Recycled Materials
At Molecor , circularity is more than a goal, it’s a core value. We are dedicated to maximizing the efficiency of raw materials, minimizing waste, and recovering any residual by-products. This is particularly vital for PVC, the primary component in our production processes. Nearly all production scraps and by-products are reintegrated into new manufacturing cycles. In 2024, we achieved an impressive 97.7% reuse rate for reprocessed raw materials, moving us significantly closer to our zero-waste objective.
This success stems from a combination of optimized product design, allowing for easier recycling at end-of-life, and continual investment in clean, efficient production technologies. Our commitment to sustainability is also evident in our latest generation of products, designed to include recycled materials without compromising on performance. These innovations prove that high quality and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand, reducing reliance on virgin resources and lowering our ecological footprint.
Advancing Toward Zero Waste
To further support our sustainability mission, Molecor is implementing a comprehensive Waste Minimization Plan across all spanish manufacturing sites. This ambitious initiative addresses all types of production waste, focusing on prevention, reuse, recycling, treatment optimization, and responsible disposal.
