World Water Day 2024

Water is the source of life, an indispensable resource that not only sustains, but also plays a crucial role in social and economic stability. That is why today, March 22, we celebrate World Water Day, one of the most important days of the year, as it commemorates an indispensable resource for life as we know it.

But it is also a finite resource, which makes it a potential point of conflict between people and countries. Water scarcity can generate tensions and disputes over access, especially in regions with limited water resources. This is why the theme chosen for this year's celebration is "Water for Peace".

As the impacts of climate change increase and populations grow, there is a growing need, within and between countries, to unite to protect and conserve our most precious resource. Health, food, the economy, the environment and prosperity depend on the proper functioning and equitable management of the water cycle.

Initiatives such as the Mekong River Commission for cooperative river management between Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam show how it is possible to open borders to work together to ensure access to water. And this is not just the work of governments, we are all working together to achieve universal access to water resources.

In our commitment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the UN, and especially SDC 6 (clean water and sanitation for all by 2030), Molecor SEA has increased its efforts in the Southeast Asia region. To this end, we work every day to offer new solutions in oriented PVC for the creation of water supply networks and collaborate with the various regional authorities to meet all the necessary requirements and certifications.

TOM® pipes and ecoFITTOM® fittings have achieved the creation of water supply networks even in the most difficult areas thanks to their ease of installation, reduced need for machinery and their resistance to impacts and breaks. In addition, the wide range of diameters and pressures (DN90-1200 mm in pipes and DN110-400 mm in fittings) makes it possible to create the piping networks required for various types of projects.

At Molecor SEA we are aware that there are many barriers to overcome and the effort required to face the challenge of water scarcity. However, we are confident that, through joint action and the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive measures, the goal is more than achievable.

On this World Water Day, we pledge to work together for a future where water is a symbol of peace and cooperation, not conflict. A future where water for all is possible, and from Molecor SEA we would like to be part of it.

Because we are all H2O.

Happy World Water Day!
